Shayla is the Middle School and High School Program Coordinator at Girls Group. From growing up in Ann Arbor to graduating from Ypsilanti schools, Shayla has always been a part of this community and loves giving back. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2025, after playing college basketball throughout her undergraduate years. Shayla is passionate about supporting young women and building genuine connections. She creates a warm, safe space where youth feel confident to be themselves and speak up. With a background in childcare and mentoring student-athletes, Shayla is dedicated to guiding the next generation both on and off the court as a steady, encouraging mentor. Outside of Girls Group, Shayla loves spending quality time with her family and friends, cooking good meals, working out at the gym, going to church, and relaxing with a good movie or TV show!
