Volunteers

Events Volunteers: As an events volunteer, you provide behind-the-scenes support to help our events run smoothly. Volunteers facilitate important friend-raising activities and provide logistical assistance for special events. Events typically take place on evenings and weekends. An ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills with specific attention to detail and experience working with diverse populations.

Guest Speaker Volunteers: As a volunteer guest speaker, you engage in programs by presenting or participating in speaker panels at a group program. Girls Group understands the power of storytelling and invites community members to connect with our participants by sharing their strengths, wisdom, and personal journeys. Meetings take place at schools in the morning or afternoons Monday through Friday. An ideal candidate will have experience working with youth and interest in sharing their knowledge with participants.

Career Mentor Volunteers: As a volunteer career mentor, you can provide invaluable support by facilitating individual or small group mentoring sessions related to your professional field with Girls Group participants. Volunteer Career Mentors will work with participants on career guidance, resume support, job searching, networking, and professional coaching to participants in college & early in their careers. Meetings can take place virtually or in-person, and volunteers will need to provide updates to Girls Group staff on participant progress towards goals. An ideal candidate will have experience mentoring and an interest in working with youth.

All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. Volunteers are expected to be professional, positive role models, and communicate effectively with all Girls Group members. If you are interested in registering as a volunteer with Girls Group please complete the volunteer interest survey.
