Quania is a College & Career Program Coordinator supporting year round programming for college & career participant services starting in 11th grade and continuing through their college & career journeys at Girls Group. Quania earned her BSW from Eastern Michigan University’s School of Social Work in 2019 and her MSW in Interpersonal Practice from Wayne State University’s School of Social Work in 2021. Prior to joining Girls Group, Quania’s career history ranges from providing direct care, supportive counseling, leading in program development, and person-centered case management. Quania’s roles and responsibilities at Girls Group include coordinating programs that empower and support young women in 11th-12th grade and after graduation as they continue their college and career journeys. Quania empowers the young women in Girls Group to achieve emotional and economic self-sufficiency, further their skill development, and support them in making impactful decisions that help them navigate their desired college and/or career path. Quania is passionate about being a resource for the community and advocating for socioeconomic equity. In her spare time she enjoys listening to music and spending time with friends and family.
