Kristen is a Deputy Director at Girls Group. She earned a BA in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies from Michigan State University and an MSW and Certificate in Nonprofit Management at Eastern Michigan University. Kristen’s experience includes 12+ years working in the nonprofit sector providing direct services, developing programs, conducting scientific research, managing grant-funded projects, and leading teams. Kristen’s responsibilities at Girls Group include supporting programming, strategic planning, agency operations, staff hiring, training, and supervision. She is passionate about empowering youth to heal from transgenerational, intergenerational, and early childhood trauma, live their most authentic lives, and become positive change agents.
