Jonjalyn Winchester (she/her/hers) is a Part-Time Programming Specialist for Girls Group. Originally from the Battle Creek area, Jonjalyn earned her BSW from Eastern Michigan University in 2019 and is currently finishing up her MSW at EMU this year. Currently, Jonjalyn is serving as a graduate assistant for the Brotherhood, Sisterhood Scholars of EMU, attempting to enact change by increasing graduation rates for minority students. Jonjalyn is passionate about bridging the gaps that are affecting our youth today. Prior to working at Girls Group, Jonjalyn began Mentoring with Cool People Community Savers of Battle Creek as a teenager, she also gained experience working with youth of all ages during her time in Ypsilanti Community Schools and at Parkridge Community Center. Mentoring and creating a safe space for the kids in her community has always been important to Jonjalyn.
