Donate in Honor of Larry Hastie
We invite you to help us celebrate a true champion of our mission at Girls Group—Larry Hastie, a dedicated partner and passionate advocate who has made an extraordinary impact on our work for over a decade. As the first male board member of Girls Group in 2015, along with the support of his company, Retirement Income Solutions, Larry’s commitment to empowering young women in our community has been nothing short of inspiring.
During Larry’s tenure as a Board Member, he was kind, funny, and refreshingly direct. He had a strong understanding of strategy and finances, and was gracious in sharing his insights. He was an invaluable mentor and role model to our Founder and Executive Director Sue as well as other members of the Board, helping make the vision of Girls Group a reality and the successful organization it is today.
In honor of Girls Groups 20th anniversary, Retirement Income Solutions has made a transformative contribution of $20,000 in Larry’s honor to help establish an emergency fund for the young women we serve. His early belief in our mission and steadfast support have enabled us to act swiftly during times of crisis and continue delivering essential services to those in need, including food, housing assistance, transportation, college supplies like books and laptops, and much more.
As a tribute to Larry’s support, and in celebration of his birthday on April 23rd, we are asking friends, colleagues, and community members to consider a donation to this established Girls Group emergency fund.
Every donation, big or small, will make a difference during unexpected difficult times for a young person. By giving in Larry’s name, you’re not only honoring him, but you’re also ensuring that more young women receive the support they deserve.
