With your help, Girls Group weathered the pandemic and continued to fulfill our mission. We look forward to helping meet the needs of these young women with the support of friends like you. Together, we can make a powerful difference in their lives for years to come.
Now that we have gratefully returned to in-person programming, we are providing:
- 20 weekly programs within the public schools
- Saturday programming
- Individual and group college and career prep
- Summer programming and overnight college prep summer camps
- Individual and group college and career programs, for young women who have graduated from our high school programs
Girls Group builds long-term, lasting relationships with the girls and young women we serve. We meet girls in 6th grade, and guide them through middle school, high school, college, and career. We resourcefully and creatively served participants throughout the pandemic, and are cognizant that the negative effects of the pandemic continue to impact our participants at every age. We are proud of the opportunity to consistently uplift, mentor, educate, inspire, and train these students on an effective, year-round basis.
Despite the barriers and challenges faced by Girls Group participants during the pandemic, our students persevered, high school graduations continued, and we had our largest cohort of college graduates in program history!

Girls Group serves 690 participants in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, from middle school girls all the way through young women on their college and career journeys. To make a difference for more young women today, be the light.
