In February, The Ann Arbor Sports Commission invited Girls Group participants and their families to attend their very first Inaugural Women in Sports event! The event, dedicated to championing the spirit of girls and women in sports, included panel discussions with professional athletes, nutritionists, coaches, and more. All proceeds from the event were generously donated to Girls Group!
Girls Group participants and their families had a great time learning about the health and development of female athletes, listening to practical advice from athletes after their formal athletic years, and hearing empowering stories from accomplished female athletes who have broken barriers in the world of sports. Parents also gained insights into providing support and encouragement for their children to thrive academically and athletically.
