It’s that time of the year again– tax season. Tax season often brings feelings of anxiety, as filing with a professional can be expensive and filing alone can be confusing. This tax season, Girls Group was here to help by connecting participants and their parents with free, one-on-one appointments to file their taxes with a professional at the United Way.
During their appointments, Girls Group staff were there as a support- driving families to and from their appointment, coordinating a meal for families, and even providing childcare for families and older participants. Now that they have filed, the only step left is to sit back and wait for their tax returns to arrive!
