On October 5th, the College and Career Program hosted a Resume and Cover Letter workshop. Girls Group staff shared tips and tricks for writing resumes, and helped the young women learn about the importance of a strong cover letter.
During the session, participants connected over shared job-related experiences. Each participant came with different levels of resume knowledge and employment experience, and after the workshop they felt better equipped for the job application process.
Participants also appreciated hearing experiences and advice from Girls Group staff. As one participant explained, “[this workshop] helped me think of things to add [to my resume] like awards in school and knowing different languages.”
Girls Group staff and participants are looking forward to our many academic and career-related workshops scheduled for this upcoming 2022-2023 school year!
