While all the action-packed programs were happening back in Ann Arbor, a group of high school participants took a trip to Ohio to visit four different colleges, including the University of Cincinnati, Wilberforce University, Central State University, and the University of Toledo. Participants ate on campus, talked to students, and learned more about what each school has to offer. “[I learned] there are lots of ways to put yourself out there in college,” one participant reflected. For some participants, it was their first time out of Michigan and their first time staying at a hotel.
“[The tour] helped me feel more prepared” a participant shared on the drive home. “College isn’t meant to be scary!”
