The College and Career Program co-hosted a FAFSA workshop for current high school seniors with University of Michigan’s Financial Aid Outreach Department. Attendees discussed preparing current high school seniors for college, asked questions about financial aid, talked with admissions recruiters, and connected over current college application experiences.
Opportunities like these are essential in preparing participants for secondary education. Early college experiences give participants the confidence, skills, and tools to pursue their goals. One high school student shared, “Girls Group has influenced my plan to attend college in many ways, and showed me to see the bigger picture of preparing to be a college student.”
