Norma’s AMAZING One-of-a-Kind Jewelry Fundraiser for Girls Group

In the Words of Norma Calder

“I am thrilled, proud beyond words, and a bit in awe to be the center of attention for this special fundraiser for Girls Group. Some of you know me, but because most of you do not, I would like to share that Sue (Founder, Executive Director of Girls Group) and I have been friends for a long, long time. My husband and I have been supporters of Girls Group for just as long.

The mission of Girls Group has always been close to my heart. I am the daughter of a woman who was only allowed to go to school through the 8th grade. She received her GED when she was in her 50s. Mom always saw “a good education” as the means for having more choices in your life. I agree with her and that’s what I taught my own kids. To me, that’s what Girls Group is all about. And look at the results—hundreds of young women, all touched by Girls Group, are working hard to take charge of their lives, make changes in their lives, and make a difference in our world. I cannot emphasize enough how firmly I believe Girls Group is critical to our community and world.

This year I decided to take a more personal role in my support for Girls Group by offering a collection of necklaces and earrings as a basis for a fundraiser. 100% of the selling price of the pieces in this collection will be going to Girls Group. 100%. I am only asking that you look beyond any retail equivalent these pieces may have and know that their true value is your “bedazzling” generosity to Girls Group.”
